Ghuughra This is a labyrinth in musical form. Structured and obtuse, willfully unforthcoming yet perversely inviting. Not sure how to feel, not sure who to trust. Favorite track: Blóðhunang.

Cosmographer This has got to be one of the best crafted and thought out black metal records in recent memory. It's the equivalent of staring right into the void and being sucked into it.

From the distant yet oppressive cold atmospheres, to the anguished vocals, clever arrangements and a splendid drum performance, Guðveiki completely succeeds in trapping you in its sound world.

It's an impressive achievement. Favorite track: Hin endalausa.

The dissonant bleakness of the first track is less weird and more hypnotic than on the second track. That's why I like it a little more. But both songs together make for an extraordinary experience and a journey to the arhythmically beating heart of darkness. mourner
